Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Disbursements Operations – Payroll team in the capacity of: Accounting Associate – Pensions Payroll (Grade 2) Support the Payroll Administration process by providing accounting and administrative support to the Pensions Payroll Unit ensuring post payroll processes are handled. Prepare advances for new and unfrozen Pensioners. Perform accounting duties for reimbursements of payroll expenses, the financial and banking information changes on the internal database. Prepare general ledger schedules for annuity related accounts and prepare the statutory electronic returns and RTGS file for payment to the relevant departments. Location: Kingston As An Accounting Associate – Pensions Payroll, You Will Check off Annuity worksheets for new Pensioners being retired on the payroll. Update the system with payroll information, such as deductions for new, existing and deceased Pensioners. Prepare general ledgers for annuity related accounts. Reimburse payroll expenses through intercompany. Prepare the statutory electronic returns and RTGS file for payment to the relevant departments. Prepare Annuity advances and lump sum requests for new and unfrozen benefits. Prepare augmentation letters and advisories. Handle requests and queries from annuitants and Trustees/company human resources representatives (i. e. P24 information, reports) Prepare and batch payroll cheques and pay slips after completion of annuity payroll. Prepare annuities payroll of Sagicor Individual Life (IMME). Perform other related duties assigned from time to time. What do you need? Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or ACCA Level II qualifications, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized tertiary institution. At least two (2) years ’ working experience in payroll accounting. Sound knowledge in the use of computer software packages including spreadsheets, word processing and file handling software. Sound knowledge of Payroll Accounting.
